Blanket FAQ
The Blanket is water repellant. Both sides have a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) Coating. This coating will help shed light rain and water spills, but the blanket should not be left out in the rain or placed on wet surfaces.
The blanket is not pre-shrunk and may shrink slightly when washed.
- Machine wash cold on gentle cycle, separately. It is best if the blanket is washed in a front load washer or a top load washer without an agitator. Always use the most gentle cycle possible on your machine and a gentle detergent. If a top load washer with an agitator is used, be sure to check on the blanket during the wash cycle to make sure it is not tangled on the agitator. Tangling may cause the blanket to be damaged.
- Do not use bleach.
- Tumble dry low or hang dry
- Do not iron or dry clean
While there is no blanket industry temperature standard, the Adventure Blankets is mid-weight should keep you warm in 45 degree temperatures and above.
Blankets do not have an EN Rating (which is for sleeping bags) or an R-value (which is for sleeping pads).
The blanket is insulated with a 200 gsm polyester, not down. Synthetic insulation has many benefits over down, but most important is its ability to function in wet weather conditions.

There are four red loops on the blanket, 2 on each 72” side. These are the thumb loops and allow the user to wrap the blanket snuggly around themselves without losing the use of their hands.
Flame Retardants have not been added to the blanket. Like other textiles, if an ember falls on the blanket it may incur damage to the material. Users should keep the blanket away from open flames.
